Completed And Ongoing Projects In the Indian Ocean

  • Completed projects:  A water well has been dug; 1½ mile of security fence has been built around the site; earth anchors have been placed to support the towers and curtain antennas; a generator building, guard house, staff home and some tool and equipment buildings have been built; and the first of three diesel powered generators have been placed and is now providing electricity.
  • A transmitter building is being built to house three 100,000 watt transmitters.
  • The towers have arrived onsite and the curtain antennas have arrived in port and will be raised in 2008.  They will have an FM quality signal and able to do for 4 simultaneous broadcasts
  • The three 100,000 watt transmitters are now being built in Mesquite, TX.
  • Henry Huffard has joined our staff as Senior Producer, Africa.  We can be a great asset to your interests in Africa.

Our Websites Are Contacting Millions Of Potential Listeners

  • The first of three different Arabic websites has just been launched.
  • This English website contains the latest information about the overall work along with an hour of English programming each day.
  • The Chinese website (www.smzg.org) had over 1 million hits in 2007.
  • The Russian website (www.knls.net) has much information for listeners.
  • A website for Africa will be launched in 2008.
  • Three articles for your church bulletin are now available along with updates (see yellow starburst above).

Possible Opportunities For Which To Be In Prayer

  • Discussion continues about being able to supply the Tsunami warning system for the world.  The entire world would have our frequencies.
  • An increased amount of AIDS education will be available to the world.
  • The number of shortwave receivers in the world is now 3 billion.  This will continue to increase.  400 million cell phones in China are now being converted to receive short-wave radio broadcasting.
  • Greater coordination between World Christian Broadcasting, World Bible School in Africa, NationsUniversity, Healing Hands, Eastern European Missions and missionaries through out the world will be possible.
  • Be prayerful about the Spanish and Portuguese programming teams that will be assembled in the future.
