Preparing the 360’ Towers to Hang the Antenna Between Them

On July 23, 2010, Station KNLS in Anchor Point, Alaska will celebrate its 27th year of broadcasting the gospel to about ½ of the world.  The goal to introduce people to Jesus Christ where our missionaries could not go or where we did not have enough missionaries has focused our decisions thru the years.  This is why we continue to broadcast 10 hours in Mandarin Chinese, 5 hours in Russian and 5 hours in English, a total of 20 hours each day.  The Lord has enabled us to hear from every country of the world, every province in Canada and every state in America and Mexico.  The Lord has brought us so very far.  Thank you for your friendship.

In addition to literally millions of people being contacted each day by short-wave radio, our website readership continues to grow each month.  Our websites received a total of 3,651,951 hits during 2009.  Each day, 7,129 files, on average, are being accessed and read.  Check them out.  Here are the addresses:

African English – africanpathways.org                     Arabic – yas3na.com
Chinese – smzg.org                                               English – knls.org
Russian – knls.net                                                 Spanish and Portuguese – coming soon

Remember that you can listen to our daily broadcasts on our English website.  And you will find links to all of our language websites at www.worldchristian.org.  There you will also see the latest information on the Madagascar construction and read letters from our listeners.

Tanks

New Generators Installed Late 2009

Construction continues on the Madagascar World Voice station.  In the fall of 2009, two much needed diesel powered generators arrived after months of delay.  Electrical wiring, destroyed by vandals last year, has been ordered and should arrive during April.  In early 2010, the antennas will be erected between the 4 towers that are already standing.  We will then ship the three 100,000 watt transmitters which are already built, tested and packed in three 40 foot containers ready for shipment.

Our immediate focus is “finishing” and “completing the dream”$750,000 more is needed to finish the project.  Having already invested $8 million in the project, this amount is reachable.  The Lord moved in a wonderful way in December 2009 to help us surpass a goal of the $250,000 match.  That great response can only be explained as God working mightily in the hearts of many people who want to see the world have an opportunity to learn about Jesus Christ.  We are getting closer to being able to cover the entire world everyday with 60 daily hours of programming from Alaska and Madagascar.  Over 140 hours of Arabic programs are already ready for broadcasting.  Please be prayerful that key individuals and churches will step up and help finish this project so those even in the remotest areas of the world may learn of Jesus.

Continue to pray for the Spanish and Portuguese staff that is being assembled and the programming they will develop, our listeners in China, Russia, those who live in the Pacific Rim countries, and for the preparing of the hearts of future listeners in Africa, South America, India, Indonesia, Europe and the Middle East.  Keep in your thoughts the Malagasy people, our team of 30 Malagasy workers and also Kevin and Nancy Chambers who lead our work there.

Soon, more people than at anytime in history will have daily access to the gospel.  The fingerprints of God are all over this project.  May all of us be patient and wait on the timing of the Lord and enthusiastically anticipate the completion of this God-blessed project.  To God be the glory and praise.  The world is waiting.
